I’m Gugulethu Zondo, a Clinical Psychologist Grounded in Humanness.
Welcome
My clinical approach is grounded in empathy and informed by research. I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology degree, with a research focus on adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and their long-term impact on emotional and psychological well-being. This area of study remains a deep personal and professional passion.
My research study was among the first to explore how mental health support can be meaningfully integrated into youth development programmes — contributing to broader conversations around enhancing the lives of children and young people. In addition to my Master’s degree, I hold an Honours degree in Development Studies, an Honours degree in Psychology, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Diploma in Youth Development, as well as NQF Level 5, 4 and 3 certificates in Facilitation, Coaching and Mentoring, respectively.
I bring over six years of experience in the mental health field prior to qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist, having worked across the public health sector, non-
governmental organisations, and community-based initiatives. These academic and professional experiences have equipped me with a deep understanding of human behaviour, cognition, and emotional resilience.
